A concealer is truly a girl’s best friend when it comes to hiding flaws. And is also a very important part of everyone’s makeup routine, as it is not always possible to wear a full face of makeup to work or anywhere else. I do wear concealer every day because I tend to get deep dark circles. You kind of need to get to know your concealer, the shade and the texture that will perfectly suit your skin type.

Remember these points-

  • If you’re using a concealer to cover up your dark circles or acne marks then use a concealer that would match your skin tone and apply your full coverage foundation over it.
  • If you desire to brighten up the under eye area, then first go for medium coverage foundation and then use a concealer (preferably liquid based) which is 1 or 2 shades lighter than your complexion.
  • Orange or Peach corrector is always better to cover dark circles
  • If you have oily skin, don’t opt for a cream based concealer
  • Don’t use too much product under the eye otherwise, you will end up looking like a panda

Finding the perfect one is a daunting task, you have to look for the perfect color, texture, one that does not crease and so on and after looking at all this, most under eye concealers still end up looking weird. After trying a couple of concelaers from different brands, I have a list of concealers that have worked best for me.

M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer

I had picked this cute little creamy concealer a few months back. The artist at the store suggested me to pick shade NW35 as I wanted something with full coverage to conceal my dark circles. It has thick creamy texture so I use it beneath my foundation. Just one swatch and press it with a  damp beauty blender. It effectively covers dark circles, acne marks, and blemishes. Although this little pot costs a bomb, it will last for really long even if used every day.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer

This concealer works like a magic. I use this one for highlighting purpose. The full coverage hides my dark circles and the light texture blends gracefully. It conceals so perfectly that after the coverage of your flaws you tend to forget you had them in the very first place. And no I am not exaggerating!

ColourPop No Filter Concealer

Alright, So I’ve been eyeing this tube concealer for a very long time but unfortunately, whenever I  would intend to order it online, they would never have my shade in stock. And one fine day I got a chance to order my shade Beige 25.  What I like about this concealer is its consistency which is very thin. It is very easy to blend. I find the thicker ones are difficult to blend and end up looking cakey. This one does not look cakey or settle into creases. This is an easy everyday light concealer which won’t take more than 30 seconds of your time in the morning. Just be careful with the color selection while ordering it online.

                L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD

I’m sure the name isn’t new to makeup lovers.  This has so many shades to choose from, you can choose your shade to correct, conceal, highlight and contour. So basically, with Rs.595 each,  its a cheaper alternative to high-end contour palettes. The texture is of medium consistency i.e neither thick nor runny. It lasts for around 6-8 hours on me without using a powder on top. The best part is that it doesn’t crease or turn patchy or cakey.

COVER FX Correct Click Color Corrector- Orange

I  purchased the peach and the orange correctors for professional use. The orange corrector works best to cover dark circles for medium to dark skin tones and for fair skin tones, you might wanna try a  peach corrector. Although they are tiny in size,  they are very effective. You only need a small amount of the product in order to get good coverage.  The texture is creamy and melts right into my skin. One swipe of the peach and my under eye circles disappeared. This is the only color corrector I’ve ever tried ever and I’m really planning to switch.
