Hi makeup lovers! No matter how much we love drugstore makeup products, we always have an urge to collect high-end and splurge-worthy makeup products. I picked Dior Addict Lip Tattoo on Indian Airport and was pretty excited to try it. The thing that attracted me the most was the coral bottle packaging and the name. I have always love liquid matte lipsticks, this texture is something new for me.
Dior Lip Tattoos are available in 8 colors, ranging from subtle nudes to darker statement shades. This review is about one of the best shades in this range 451 NATURAL CORAL.
About the product-
- kiss-proof lip stain may change your makeup habits forever with its 10-hour “tattoo” tint
- The shades boost the natural color of the lips with a subtle luminosity.
- Long wear tint with an extreme weightless feel
- Dior color technology blends stains and pigments to create no-transfer shades with a weightless, comfortable, bare-skin sensation.
Packaging- The tube arrives in a silver outer box which displays all the details of the product. The tube is made up of opaque plastic which clearly shows the color of the tint. It has a silver, twist-up cap with a doe-foot applicator that brings out a lot of product, as the texture is runny. So one has to be careful with the application.
Shade- Coral is universally flattering, versatile color that should be in every woman’s wardrobe! Talking about this color, which is more inclined towards orangish-pink and would look flattering on all skin tones, not sure about the darker skin tones though. This is a perfect everyday shade
Texture- The texture of this lip tint is something very new for me. It is runny and watery, so you have to be very careful with the applicator. It feels comfortable and isn’t sticky at all.
My experience with the product-
The matte finish tube looks cute and classy. Dior Lip Tattoo is a lipstick that provides light to medium coverage. The shade “Natural Coral” is a super gorgeous shade with coral undertones. The pigmentation and the color is ideal for everyday use. It gives a thin layer of beautiful and bright coral shade. The texture is extremely thin and runny. If you need a sheer wash of color, you just swipe the lipstick once. I generally use two coats for medium coverage. It takes about 30 seconds to dry down. It doesn’t survive water and dry food items and gets off easily. The finish is compeletely matte, doesn’t look like a gloss at all. The brand claims it to be long-lasting, although it doesn’t live up to that claim. It stays barely for 3 hours on me and also clings on to the dry patches of my lips which makes it a necessary step to exfoliate before applying it. The doe-foot applicator makes it really easy to apply and gives a precise application on the lips.
Pros-
- Pretty packaging.
- Beautiful shade.
- Matte finish.
- Nice flavour.
- Feels light, as if nothing has been applied.
- Dries down to pretty stain.
Cons-
- Poor staying power.
- Very expensive.
- Doesn’t moisturise the lips.
- Runny texture .
MVR Rating- 5.5/10
Recommendaion/Repurchase- It is a wearable colour and would suit most Indian skin tones but may not work for darker skin tones. The staying power is a huge disappointment with this price. All in all – it’s an absolute no go.
Love this post! You went directly to the point! I also like that color on you!
