All Sephora Foundations Review – Part 1

As a makeup enthusiast, I love to try new makeup products. Sephora is one brand that offers plenty of samples with almost every online purchase. In this post, I will give my honest reviews of the foundation samples I received with my last Sephora order. The shades are as per fair skin tone with warm undertones ( MAC NC25).

It is always best to test a sample before shelling out a pile of dollars on high-end foundations. It is imperative to select a foundation that suits best with the skin type.

Fenty Beauty By Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation Review

Currently, the makeup world is going bananas over the Fenty Beauty products. Talking about this foundation, it is available in 40 shades, covering all complexions and skin tones. If you’re warm undertone with a light complexion, shade 150 will be perfect. The texture of this foundation is smooth and blends easily. It provides full coverage, without looking cakey. It is weightless and completely matte in finish. If you have dry skin, make sure you moisturize properly. It suits oily and sensitive skin too. Stays easily for 8-9 hours.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation Review

Shade- 1W1 Ivory – fair with warm undertonesThis one is described as an oil-free, transfer-resistant, liquid foundation with up to 15 hours of long-wear, a matte finish, and weightless, full coverage. I had really high hopes with this foundation, it has been the opposite. It dries so fast, without giving time to blend. It sticks to my face the moments I apply, it becomes almost impossible to blend it with a damp beauty blender. So working with it is extremely difficult. It tends to be really patchy around forehead and chin area. The coverage is good, and it lasts well, but after 2 hours it looks very cakey. I’m glad I tried the sample instead of buying a full sized bottle.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24H Foundation SPF 25 Review

The shade that suits fair skin with warm undertones is Fair Y130. The texture of this foundation isn’t runny. It gives medium coverage, so mature and uneven skin might not like the coverage. It blends with ease and stays very long. The only problem is that it creases around the nose and lip area after 2-3 hours and doesn’t look natural. No woman appreciates a foundation that ends up looking splotchy.

Dior Forever Undercover Foundation Review

This is described as ultra-fluid, water-based foundation with full coverage and lightweight formula to deliver a natural, matte finish that goes from day to night. This foundation is the best of all three, it blends like a second skin, doesn’t settle into fine lines. It suits all skin types, stays in place even on a humid day. It goes from zero coverage to full coverage instantly. The texture is quite runny but very easy to work with.

The shade that goes perfectly with my skin is 031 Sable, light to medium with a warm yellow undertone.

Price- $56

MVR Rating- 9/10

I love Sephora for offering foundation samples, these samples help us save a small fortune that we spend on high-end makeup products.

Coming up soon with part 2 of the foundation reviews.
