OOTD: Pink Ethnic Karva Chauth Outfit

Karva Chauth festival is all about fasting for longevity and prosperity of husband. The festival is a special one where a married woman receives various gifts from her mother-in-law. Women adorn themselves with a new ethnic outfit in a bright color, a new set of bangles, new makeup, and jewelry.

Outfit-No matter how many traditional outfits we own, Karva Chauth is all about new stuff and a new look.  I had chosen Pink Shara Suit with an embellished golden dupatta. The pink fabric of this outfit is easily available in a good fabric shop in many shades. Dupatta was embellished with Zari and Pearl Embroidery around the cut shaped borders. This  Golden Dupatta matches well with most of my ethnic outfits.

Accessories- I’m not a huge fan of accessories, I usually opt for a minimal accessory look. So for accessories, I had paired this outfit with Gold Earrings From Hazoorilal Jewellers ( https://www.instagram.com/hazoorilaljewellers/)   and basic gold bangles from the local market.

Hair- I love all sorts of buns. I love to experiment with a hairstyle with every look. I’ve already got long straight hair, so the only option I’m left with is a bun as curls don’t stay on my silky hair for more than 2-3 hours. This beautiful flower bun was made with the help of small braids that tucked together with loads of bobby pins creating a flower look. The front hair was backcombed with a tail comb and lots of hairspray.

Makeup – No matter what the occasion is, I plan for my makeup look in advance. I kept saving loads of eye makeup on Pinterest. For this look, I had used only matte eyeshadows with dark black eyeliner and kohl. Filled my brows, used a little bronzer and blush on my cheeks and completed the look with a nude lipstick and loads of highlighter for the glow.
