Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 Designers

The recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week saw five days of exciting shows. If you weren’t following the shows, we have the edited version for you. In an ever emerging fashion industry, the designers create fashion statements by taking us to the royal adventures of the beautifully manipulated fabrics, pleasing cuts and delicate handworks. Here’s the list of top designers of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019-


Designer Shriya Som used delicate crystals in most of the designs. The collection for Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2019 is mostly done in peachy hues and muted tones, which is perfect for any girl’s dream occasion.

Lisa Haydon, the show stopper for the collection was seen in an exquisite pale pink lehenga. This crystal embellished lehenga costs INR 550,480 on

Aditi Rao Haydri looked truly looked like an erstwhile Maharani as her turns sho stopper for Shaahana Collection by Sailesh Singhania. The actress is known for her minimal glowy make-up look, which adds to the royal touch. The show stopper lehenga costs INR 123,080. The collection gives royal feel with handwoven Khadi Jamdani fabric, a mixture of cotton and gold threads. The hand-woven Kanjeevaram lehenga of Aditi Roa was paired with graceful tissue dupatta.

Actress Karisma Kapoor walked the ramp in flared anarkali, which is the part of Summer/Spring 2019 collection MAYA. The cost of this ivory embroidered anarkali is INR 55000. The label references traditional embroideries and textile of Rajasthan, reinterpreted in various fabrics, textures and concepts. Delighted to the eyes, the collection bestowed the exquisite couture in blue hues which comprised of powder blue lehengas and suits, ivory and blue shararas, skirts and jackets, printed ice blues anarkalis which are perfect for women of all ages.

Aditya Roy Kapur turned many heads when he walked as the showstopper and represented Kunal Rawal’s Collection with style and grace. Aditya Roy Kapur looked very dapper in black showstopper suit.

The spectacular FUTURE PAST collection consists of fusion wear for spring/summer. The designer collaborated with a consumer electronic brand boAt-a lifestyle brand that deals in fashionable consumer electronics like- earphones, headphones, speakers, travel charger & premium rugged cables. The collection highlighted traditional jackets with attached hoods, long coats and jackets with contrasting pants.


Designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, known for their drapes. The spring/summer collection ‘ Recruit SS’19’ designed for self-assured and strong women. Iconic Kareena Kapoor Khan marked the closure of Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2019. With their commendable sense of fashion, the designers reinvented their designs keeping in mind the modern Indian women in the contemporary world. The luxuriant overlay of fabrics and clenched waistlines, mostly in red and black silhouettes made everyone swoon.

Designer Anushree Reddy’s Collection was an instant hit at Lakme Fashion Week 2019. Known for her floral prints and gold embellishments, the designer launched her summer 2019 collection ATIRAH in mostly blue hues in floral embroideries. However, there were several pastels shaded outfits. The showstopper as we all know Kangana Ranaut amazed us all in her peach and gold traditional lehenga that highlighted her perfect figure. The collection truly stands out with a dash of beautiful colors combined with intricate floral lattice jaalis and hand drawn thread embroideries.

The attention to detail, finesse and modern silhouettes with Indian touch bring opulence to the overall aesthetic of his outfits. 


Ever charming and stylish Actor Anil Kapoor was seen in quintessential Bandhgala outfit by Raghavendra Rathore. Inspired from Jodhpur, the label comes from rich cultural roots and is one of the royal names in Men’s formal wear. However, the designer launched a women-inclusive collection named An Ode to the Bandhgala. Women’s collection also represented the signature Bandhgala style of the Raghavendra Rathore label. Actress Janvi Kapoor showcased the women collection in a black designer outfit with impeccable cuts. Both men and women outfits were mostly done in black, which makes it a perfect evening wear collection.


Get ready for your next beach holiday with vibrant playsuits, gowns, bustiers and fringe dresses. The models were also seen in accessories like Patu headbands and Patu Eye wears complementing the outfits. For men, Deccan safari jackets with Deccan tapered resort trousers completely stand out. Apart from the holiday collection, the models were saying in colorful pearl embellished lehengas. Now this is what we call perfect spring collection.

Designer Rohit Bal is recognized for meticulous attention to detail. The designer reinvented men’s luxury wear that took inspiration from Kashmir. Luxury couture for women, also hand-embroidered in Kashmir ranged from Embroidered Jacket Lehengas to white floral embellished lehengas. The designer reflected Indian luxury in every single outfit.


Manoj Agarrwal’s 2019 Summer Resort Collection PAAKHI-KARI  was all about multi-layered lehengas with meticulous handwork blouses. Beautiful English shades of pink and blue could be a perfect choice for one’s engagement outfit. The layers and cuts of these contemporary lehengas are innovative and unique. Malaika Arora’s backless gown that was cut into tiny petals of the light-weight net was the highlight of the collection. Malaika Arora Khan looks like a vision here! She’s so chic that even Barbie can’t steal her thunder in this dress. In true fit and flare style, it defines the waist falling away from it in layers of nets. It embraces the current bride trends and satisfies the fashion conscious bride.
