Minimalist brand review

The ever-evolving Beauty Industry never fails to astonish skincare freaks. While there are numerous brands that claim to be chemical-free, Minimalist is one brand that is maintaining integrity by completely being transparent about the ingredients- the only brand to disclose the fact that nothing is chemical-free and not all chemicals are harmful. Interesting right? Moreover, each product has a label mentioning the exact percentage of chemicals used. Serums are more concentrated than moisturizers and more easily absorb into the skin, which is why more skincare specialists recommend regular usage of serums before applying moisturizer.

Minimalist as a brand is completely unique and doesn’t belong to the same league as other skincare brands you know. From packaging to texture, each and every product is simply remarkable. Minimalist offers products for all skin types and also for all skin concerns. The complete range is available on the website https://beminimalist.co/ and you can choose the products as per your skin concern. I had chosen these three products as I deemed them to be suitable for my acne-prone sensitive skin.

Packaging- The packaging of all the products is similar. Each product arrives in a travel-friendly translucent glass bottle with a dropper.

Texture- All the serums have gel like consistency, although a little watery in texture that gets absorbed into the skin within a minute of application.

Fragrance- None of the serums have any artificial scent, therefore sensitive nose won’t be bothered

How to use – Any serum is to be used twice a day, just pour 2-3 drops on your face directly using the dropper.

Minimalist Alpha Arbutin 2% + Hyaluronic Acid 1% Review

This is an anti-pigmentation serum that reduces dark spots to provide an even skin tone. Alpha Arbutin is one of the most stable and safe skin lightening actives supported by many studies. It is a new advanced molecule in the world of bright science and does not show cell cytotoxicity. Alpha Arbutin helps in making your skin tone even and achieve a natural bright skin tone. I had a little pigmentation on my cheekbones, within 15 days of using this serum the pigmentation was lightened and my skin looked more even. I totally recommend this serum for someone who goes out in the sun very often. It will soothe sunburn and dark spots if used religiously. Also, this serum completely safe for sensitive skin.

Minimalist Vitamin C (Ethyl Ascorbic Acid) 10% + Acetyl Glucosamine 1% Review

Vitamin C is a magical ingredient in the beauty world. Vitamin C boosts collagen production and removes fine lines and wrinkles. It often arrives in a dark bottle as exposure to light or heat can degrade its quality.

This serum is made with stabilized Vitamin C derivative “Ethyl Ascorbic Acid” that has 86% pure Vitamin C content. It is, therefore, a potent antioxidant that improves skin tone, hydrates the skin, protects against skin damage caused by sun exposure, and reduces signs of aging. Consuming Vitamin C infused fruits is sufficient to reach lower levels of your skin, but generally won’t reach the top layers of the skin to give visible results. If you want instant results, direct application.

I gave this serum to my mother as her skin was extremely dull with hyperpigmentation. She was spending big bucks on high-end moisturizers, however, she never used any serum underneath. Fortunately, this time she was convinced to try Vitamin C Serum and within a month she asked me to other another one.  Once you add Minimalist Vitamin C serum in your regular routine, you will start to notice some noticeable changes in three weeks.

Minimalist Salicylic Acid 2% Review

This is another magical product that wards off blackheads and keeps oil in check for a flawless matt look. This serum is infused with Aloe Vera, so it feels a little sticky after application, but once it gets completely absorbed, the skin is all hydrated and supple. Salicylic acid is an acne-fighting ingredient that keeps excessive oil at bay, reduces blackheads, and has a number of skin-soothing effects. Salicylic acid easily penetrates the pore lining to clear up the bacteria and oil that can lead to clogged pores. Out of all three, this serum has been the most beneficial one for me.

Finally, to sum up, Minimalist has an amazing range of serums with

  • Transparency of Ingredients
  • No nasty smell
  • Clean formulations
  • Affordable price range
